Balance and Discipline -- September 2, 2011

Wow, is it Friday already?  This week has gone by so fast!!

It's been a pretty good week.  Very busy.  I feel like I've stayed in the middle of the road most of the time, but I did get a lot of errands done.  There are more to be done today, but I should be able to get home reasonably early and have time to both rest and get a few things done.

I also was able to work on some craftsy-type projects for my daughter.  You'll see blog posts about those next week.

As far as housework and such goes, it's been a pretty good week.  I don't know about you, but the two most overwhelming things I deal with are dishes and picking up after people (namely my daughter who scatters books, shoes, toys, water bottles, and purses to all four corners of the house.  I think the thing about dishes is that they're never DONE for any length of time.  As soon as you take them out of the dishwasher, there's more to be put in.  By the way, I could not live without my dishwasher.  Well, I probably could, but it would be very difficult.

I've done a little more cooking (as opposed to throwing something in the oven or declaring YOYO "You're Own Your Own" for supper) this week.  I made a delicious tomato soup on Saturday that my husband just loved!  Look for an upcoming post for the recipe.

I've kept up with the laundry pretty well.  Laundry doesn't bother me at all to do.  Throw it in there and let the machines do their job.  Putting away is kind of a pain, but it doesn't take too long (unless the toddler is wanting to grab clothes and wave them around).

I'm making good progress on my Bible reading.  I was able to drop off a happy gift bag to a lady who used to go to my church and who had surgery the other day.

I need to make a routines chart for both me and Gracie.  It's been on my running To Do list for a long time, but I just haven't made the time to do it.  I'll make that one goal for next week.

How about you?  Link up and tell us all about it!
